INKA Paletten GmbH was founded in 1878 as a sawmill in Siegertsbrunn and introduced its first presswood pallet in 1971. The company gave its name to the “Inka pallet” – the original since 1971 – a term that is now often used as a synonym for presswood pallets.
Today, production is handled by INKA’s partner Presswood in Ermelo, the Netherlands, while INKA focuses on sales and distribution throughout Europe.
INKA one-way presswood pallets are available in all standard sizes, from quarter pallets to the CP3 format. They are distributed through a comprehensive dealer network across Europe and in many other countries worldwide: https://www.inka-paletten.com/de/haendlersuche
Transparent and modern production
INKA presswood pallets are manufactured in Ermelo, the Netherlands. Both Presswood and INKA Paletten GmbH are PEFC- and FSC-certified. INKA Paletten GmbH has held PEFC certification since 2010. More information can be found below in the section “Our certifications”.
How are INKA presswood pallets made?
INKA presswood pallets are produced using sorted industrial waste wood, such as used wooden pallets, wood chips and sawmill residues. The material is processed into chips and dried. These dried chips are then bonded with urea resin and pressed into shape in special steel molds under high pressure and high temperatures.
Modern testing systems ensure reliable quality assurance, and production checks are carried out in line with EN ISO 9003.
Thanks to their production process, INKA pallets are guaranteed to be pest-free and already comply with ISPM 15 requirements. This means no additional treatment or marking is required. As a result, INKA pallets are ideally suited as universal load carriers for exports worldwide.

ISPM-15 Certificate
The growth in international trade flows has led to the spread of non-native animal and plant material worldwide. Organisms present in wood can be parasitic and cause diseases in plants and plant products. The ISPM-15 regulation is designed to prevent the spread of such non-native pests.
Further information on ISPM-15 can also be found on the independent information website www.ispm15.com.
INKA Paletten complies with this regulation and provides personalised export certificates on this website.

EUDR deforestation regulation: Inka pallets are exempt as recycled products
August 2025
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), which came into force in 2023 and will apply from December 2025, aims to put a stop to global deforestation. Among other things, users of wooden pallets and packaging will then have to prove that their suppliers' products comply with the EUDR.
We are also receiving enquiries about the EUDR conformity of our pallets. We can give our customers the all-clear: The EUDR requirements do not apply to Inka pallets. Our pressed wood pallets are made from 100 per cent recycled wood. Products like ours, which are made entirely from material that has reached the end of its life cycle and would otherwise be disposed of as waste, are exempt from the due diligence requirements of the EUDR. With the Inka pallet, you are therefore shipping a forest-friendly product - and are also on the safe side in terms of EUDR.
